I love this time of year. The trees outside our windows have turned bright yellow and when the sun shines, the rooms inside are bathed with golden light. It is magical. It was very warm today and we worked in the yard clearing around the garage and pressure washing so we can paint it before winter. It was pleasant to spend a day like this working on our own projects instead of taking Mark's boat out of the lake. I finally got Elaine's bird bath sealed with cement sealer in hopes of preventing the mold that grows in it each summer.
For dinner I made chicken and squash in a clay cooker in the oven. Yum! For dessert (for my beloved goody-monster) I baked a spice bundt cake and made maple walnut penuche frosting. He liked it so much that he sneaked upstairs during Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets to sneak another piece.
Yoga class was good. And hard. I look forward to the time when downward dog seems like the 'resting pose' it is supposed to be. I feel like a furnace when I do them.
Tomorrow I will declare the week of October 20-24 vacation week for KB. Hooray!!
